The Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, during an interview from Korça for CNA TV, also commented on the serious event that took place in the Peqin prison, where Sokol Mjacaj shot and killed Arben Lleshi and injured another prisoner. 

Manja emphasized that a complete analysis has been made for this event and very soon there will be reinforcements in the country's prisons. 

"From the incident in Peqin, of course, we have made our own analysis, we have taken administrative responsibilities. We have had a process of reflection and have repaired all security schemes in all institutions for the execution of criminal decisions, including high security prisons such as Peqin or Drenova e Korça where we are today. We continue to be in a heightened state of readiness, and very soon after an analysis that we will do in all the country's prisons, there will be a decision to lower the level of readiness, but of course that we have strengthened the measures not only in terms of human resources, but also in terms of technology and the reallocation of human resources and the internal measures we have taken in relation to the distribution of convicted persons who present social risks", said the minister. 

The minister further underlined that the Peqin event is now a matter of justice. According to him, the responsibility is individual and not collective. 

"The Peqin event is an event that is in the hands of justice, I am not happy that justice continues to have 12 police officers who served in IEPV Peqin in prison under security measures. It is absolutely up to the justice to investigate the concrete responsibility of to each of the arrested employees, but criminal responsibility is individual, it cannot be collective responsibility", said Manja./ CNA
