The decision to close Tik Tok / Opposition, today in protest

Today at 7:00 PM, a protest called by Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha will take place in front of the Prime Minister's Office following the decision to close the social network Tik Tok.

According to Berisha, this is an act of censorship, a suppression of free speech. The opposition leader has stated that this government decision comes due to the criticism the prime minister receives on this platform.

The leader of the Democratic Party (DP) has called on young people to leave everything behind today and stand up to defend freedom of speech.

"I have a call for all students, all young people, but also parents to join tomorrow in the great anti-censorship protest."

Edi Rama censors 'TikTok', currently the most modern means of communication. Based entirely on his intolerance of criticisms made on this platform.

I guarantee young people that on May 12th they will have 'TikTok' on their phones. Edi Rama will be severely punished for this unconstitutional act.

So let's leave everything out of respect for free speech and freedom. Let's protest tomorrow at 7:00 PM at the Prime Minister's Office.

"Tomorrow the word will be yours. You will be the knights and defenders of free speech," Berisha declared./ CNA
