The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama released Erion Veliaj after the latter made the fatal mistake of presenting himself as his deputy.

At the press conference, Berisha spoke again about the wiretapping, saying that Rama and Manja introduced bugs into Veliaj's cell in Durres prison.
