Agron Shehaj: We aim to win 7 mandates

The leader of the "Mundësia" party, Agron Shehaj, in an interview with journalist Blendi Fevziu in Opinion, stated that his goal is to win 7 mandates.

Shehaj emphasized that all those on the list of the "Mundësia" party are mostly medium or small entrepreneurs, people who have sought to succeed through work, have not sought shortcuts, have not sought to succeed at the expense of the state through corruption, affairs, fraud. This is our philosophy.

Blendi Fevziu: How many votes did you receive in 2021?

Agron Shehaj: I think it's 14 thousand, at least that's what they gave me.

Blendi Fevziu: How many MPs do you claim you can get in these elections, what was the philosophy?

Agron Shehaj : The philosophy has been very simple. It has been the result of a vision that we have, of a plan. We think that Albania will become a rich country only when Albanians see and believe that in Albania they can succeed with honest work. All those who are on the list, if you look at them, most of them are medium or small entrepreneurs, people who have sought to succeed with work, have not sought shortcuts, have not sought to succeed at the expense of the state through corruption, affairs, fraud. This is our philosophy.

Blendi Fevziu : Why didn't you agree to be in coalition with the DP when you declared that Albania's greatest need is for Rama to leave?

Agron Shehaj : I am of the opinion, especially when I am told to do like others, the first thing I see and think is that everything that has been done before, everything that the old people do should not be done. The question is why I did not accept the DP? Even when I was within the DP, I was convinced that we should not simply fight for political rotation, Rama should leave, there is no discussion of this, but we should fight to bring about a change and only at that moment when the Albanian citizens were convinced that we would bring about a change, would they support us.

Blendi Fevziu : Both you, Nisma Thurje or Shqipëria Bëhet are certain that they cannot get 50% to move towards change. The only thing you could do is create a mini-group initially that can grow later because Albin Kurti waited 12 years in Kosovo to take power, even though he was a pretty important political figure.

Agron Shehaj : I have never said that we will get 71 MPs in the first elections. I have always said that this is a long-term project, that for us the most important thing and the main goal, the surveys that we have done, that we have ordered from prestigious companies, give us about 100% of the votes. We think and are convinced that we can achieve a historic result, to enter parliament with a parliamentary group that means 7 MPs. It would be historic.

Blendi Fevziu : Very difficult.

Agron Shehaj : It's not impossible.

Blendi Fevziu : Nothing is impossible, but it doesn't seem very possible either.

Agron Shehaj : I didn't say it's possible. I simply said that the surveys we conduct, that we have commissioned from serious, foreign companies, give us this result. This doesn't mean that we have done the work and we don't have to do anything, we have to continue working. I, the first one, and all those who have joined me in the political movement that we have created, have not chosen to do easy things.
