Today, the Special Appeal, with a decision by Judge Engert Pëllumbi, left the mayor arrested for corruption and laundering the proceeds of crime, Erion Veliaj, in prison.

After two long hearings, where new facts and evidence were presented by prosecutors against Veliaj, the Appeals Court of Kosovo decided to keep the mayor in prison.

A few hours after the hearing at the Appeal Court, Veliaj returned to social media after 48 hours. This time, he spared the insults and curses.

Veliaj acknowledged through this reaction the attacks on prosecutors and judges by phone from prison.

After his reaction, citizens flooded him with comments on his social networks, reminding them that he stole and abused their taxes.

Other commentators recall the fact that he stated that he had been a b*tch and had SPAK under control, but after the investigations he played the role of a gentle lamb by considering them as colleagues, deceiving and lying to public opinion that he had gone to SPAK as an accomplice, when in fact three summonses had been issued against him.

Citizens remind him that anyone who steals belongs in prison, while asking him not to victimize himself again by mentioning his son.
