Veliaj in prison/ Xhaferri: He may become a traitor to justice

The leader of the FRPD, Besart Xhaferri, declared today that the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, may become a victim of justice. In a television appearance, Xhaferri reacted to the issue of the latest decision given by the court regarding Veliaj and the course this case may take.

Xhaferri said that Erion Veliaj has been sending messages to Edi Rama for days that he will become a pentito and this is Edi Rama's biggest nightmare.

Xhaferri described it as an unprecedented caste of thieves and added that he is fully convinced that on May 11, Albanians will punish it with a vote.

"Erion Veliaj has been sending messages to Edi Rama for days that he will become a pentito, and this is Edi Rama's biggest nightmare, because he knows that things have already changed in the US. I don't know whether Veliaj will respect the mafia code of Omerta or not, but what I know with complete conviction is that on May 11, Albanians at home and in the diaspora will punish this caste of unprecedented thieves with a vote!", said Xhaferri. /CNA
