Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke at length about the country's European integration, after receiving the President of the Council of Europe, Antonio Costa.

In a joint press conference, Rama said that at the meeting they discussed Albania's situation in this journey, which he described as a process with many challenges.

The head of government stated that at this moment, the country should focus deeply on implementing reforms.

"The visit comes just before the joint meeting that we will have between the EU and the Western Balkans in a few days in Tivat. It is a pleasure for the fact that every meeting with you is a lesson from a great experience and from a deep knowledge of the issues of Europe and the world. At a time when we face common challenges together. We also fully share the conviction that the main part here remains our work. We have tasks to fulfill not for the sake of Berlin or Brussels, but for improving the performance of the state, institutions, and powers in Albania. At this stage, the main emphasis is on the implementation of those reforms that have been carried out or even the laws that will enter the legal body of Albania. A process with many challenges.
