The former Minister of the Interior, Sandër Lleshaj, has raised the alarm about the tense Kosovo-Serbia situation.

Lleshaj said on Ylli Rakip's show that if Kosovo is attacked by Serbia, Albania will automatically be at war.

He stated that Albania should not consider the need to be engaged as a theoretical option.

"We are facing an extreme scenario, because Kosovo is under the guarantees of KFOR, but they are not eternal guarantees, while Serbia is permanent and the ambition towards Kosovo is permanent. Kosovo must develop its own serious capacities. If, hypothetically, Serbia will be involved in military engagement, we are automatically involved, regardless of our political level. Albania will be included from below even if it was not included from above.

Albania is automatically at war if Kosovo is attacked. Therefore, Albania should not consider the need to be engaged as a theoretical option. Serbia has this option in the Constitution. Vucic said brutally, kill us all, we are here. We cannot switch to the regime of absolute security, because the security of Albania and Kosovo are two vessels that communicate on the same line", emphasized the former minister./ CNA
