Prime Minister Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama has expressed reservations towards the European Union regarding the statements given on the situation in Kosovo.

Rama said that for the first time it cannot be in line with the EU, because their position was not expressed at the right time.

"Actually, Albania for the first time in the last 10 years has decided not to align itself with an EU foreign policy statement, which was a statement that followed the meeting between the two Kosovo-Serbia leaders in Brussels, but for procedural reasons should be made public at a time when dramatic developments took place in the north of Kosovo. We expressed our inability to align with the statement, with the fact that it was issued at that moment it was necessary to read and hear a clear and firm position to Serbia for the developments, the statement could not have support from us", said the head of the government.
