The "stamp" Democratic Party has officially requested an interpellation with Prime Minister Edi Rama, regarding the statements about the departure of the Kosovo Police from the north of Kosovo and the taking of the North of Kosovo under the control of KFOR.

In the letter addressed to the Assembly, MP Kreshnik Çollaku demands that the Prime Minister give explanations from Rama regarding his positions.

The stamp DP requests the provision of information and explanations regarding the official position of the government of the Republic of Albania, the steps that are expected to be taken and the positions in relation to the expected developments in interstate relations in the Balkans.

In the request addressed to Lindita NIkolla, it is stated that the Albanian government's reactions to the events in Kosovo were contradictory.

"The political class in Kosovo reacted in a unified manner against the attack in Kosovo, as did the entire public opinion in the Albanian space in the Balkans. The reactions from the Albanian government were contradictory. While on the one hand the act was condemned, on the other hand Belgrade and President Vucic were reluctant to be held accountable for this act. The posts on the Prime Minister's social networks, in which the incident was described as a "tragedy", created confusion regarding the first statement of the Head of Government regarding the event. As if this was not enough at the press conference, Prime Minister Rama, the last of the political leaders of many neighboring and partner countries, recently declared Serbia's responsibility for the incident."

According to them, the request was declared as not having been consulted with the Government of Kosovo, even a proposal that harms the interests and sovereignty of Kosovo.

"The Prime Minister, in a strange and unacceptable way, requested "...the taking of the North of Kosovo under the control of KFOR". The same request was also made by President Serb Vu?i? in a press conference a few days ago. The request was publicly and unanimously rejected by the institutions of Kosovo, at all levels, and was declared as not having been consulted with the Government of Kosovo, even a proposal that harms the interests and sovereignty of Kosovo."

The request for KFOR to take control of northern Kosovo is a de facto declaration of international protectorate over a part of the territory of the sovereign state of Kosovo./ CNA
