Prime Minister and Socialist leader Edi Rama, speaking today at the SP's 35th anniversary event in Shkodra, also focused on the situation of protests in the country.

Rama addressed the positions taken against him, the government, and the majority for betraying the country through decision-making on this project.

The head of government stated that citizens do not have to protect the country and nature from the Prime Minister's Office and the Socialist Party, which, according to him, has shown "war" against this area in the last 10 years.

According to Rama, those who are concerned about flamingos should know that this species is a migratory species, which has no habitat in Albania.

"To say anything related to treason to this political force, this governing majority and me at its head, you have to be completely shameless, without knowledge, without faith, without religion and without a homeland. Those who have done the greatest harm to this homeland have kept it in their mouths more than all the others. Those who, more than anyone else in the history of Europe, killed and destroyed people and nations have had it more. They tell me 'look, there are also people who are ours, people who vote for us, socialist boys and girls'. But what are they protecting? Albania from me and the Socialist Party? We have been protecting nature from those who were its greatest danger for about 10 years. We are not destroyers, but saviors. If the flamingos that we are pretending to be Gods had mouths and could speak, they would tell their bitter story. They are migratory birds, they have no habitat in Albania", said Rama./CNA
