"The municipality is making fun of over 200 families"/ Zhupa denounces

Democratic Party MP Ina Zhupa, through a post on social networks, has denounced the situation of marine tourism operators in Ksamil.

Zhupa writes that the municipality, at the height of the tourist season, has deprived 200 families who earn their living from this activity of the opportunity to work.

The Democrat states that the pier where the operators are supposed to operate is beyond all standards, endangering the lives of tourists.

In her response, the MP calls on the municipality to provide the appropriate solution to the situation facing Ksamil's tourist operators.

" Still no solution for the marine tourism operators in Ksamil! Third protest demanding to work with safety and dignity."

The municipality seems to be mocking over 200 families who make a living from this activity, leaving them without the opportunity to work at the peak of the tourist season and without creating the minimum conditions for exercising their activity.

As can be clearly seen, the solution provided is a disgrace. The pier where they are supposed to operate is beyond any standard: unfinished, dangerous and non-functional. This improvised solution does not solve the problem, but on the contrary, it also damages the image of the city in front of domestic and foreign tourists. It is unacceptable that tourists are forced to climb and descend from a height of several meters, in an area with wires, stones and without any safety measures, creating a catastrophic appearance for a destination that claims to offer quality tourism.

As the people say, "the wolf in the fog wants to". At the height of the protests and concerns of citizens, the Municipality seems to have chosen to remain silent and not respond to the operators and families who are waiting for a solution, with the logic that "no one cares".

"I call on the Municipality of Saranda and the responsible institutions to immediately provide a dignified and functional solution that allows operators to work normally, protects the jobs of hundreds of families and guarantees safety, standards and citizenship for domestic and foreign tourists visiting Ksamil. Tourism cannot be developed with improvisation, negligence and lack of responsibility ," writes Zhupa.
