"The Summit, a success for Albania and Kosovo"/ Rama: We are highly

Prime Minister Edi Rama, through an appearance on his social networks, also spoke about the summit held yesterday between the European Union and the Western Balkans.

Rama said the summit was a success for Albania and Kosovo. He praised the work of President Vjosa Osmani, who he said managed to lift the measures and unblock EU funds for the country.

Rama further said that today Albania is respected and highly valued. He stated that during his speech at the summit he emphasized that the opening of all chapters is an encouragement and that the EC's position on the closure of negotiations in 2027 should not change.

"We concluded last night a summit between the European Union and the Western Balkans that was encouraging and successful for Albania and Kosovo. The President of Kosovo has excelled with convincing words and as a result of persistent work. A result of the joint work of recent weeks, which succeeded in unblocking EU funds.

As for Albania, we are highly valued and respected in the temple of the European Union. My stance has been what you know, blunt, direct and without gloves, because I say what I think and then do what they say.

In the sense that we do our homework correctly. We speak our mind openly, straight to the point, without complexes, as equals among equals, and this has increased our value at these tables.

I emphasized that the opening of all chapters is an encouragement for us. I reiterated that it is necessary for the European Commission to stick to its decision to close negotiations in 2027, because you know how they are, they sometimes change their minds. I assured them that we will continue the modernizing reforms, we will continue the fight against crime and corruption. I tell you without modesty that I have honored you", said Rama. /CNA
