"Protests should not be symbolic"/ Democrat: Every MP should have 100

Democrat Ilirjana Kuçana said today that to be effective, the Democratic Party's protests must not be symbolic, but rather sustainable and continuous.

Invited to A2 CNN, Kuçana expressed the idea that the least each MP can do to support the protest is to bring 100 people.

"I have personally addressed Mr. Noka, telling him that it is your duty to set up working groups where each MP must bring 100 people outside the Democratic Party structure. If an MP does not have 100 people behind him, he does not deserve to be an MP."

Each member of the National Council must bring a minimum of 50 people, starting from family and social circle.

This is the minimum we must do for the Democratic Party and for Albania. Albania is at a crossroads and in a very delicate moment. We owe it not only to the Democrats, but also to all Albanians to restore hope.

The protests should not be symbolic, but sustainable and continuous, adding that she is ready to remain in protest until the departure of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

"I have asked that these not be protests where we go and leave, but protests where we stay. I am ready to stay with my people until Edi Rama leaves," said Kuçana ./CNA
