Këlliçi: Prençi should complete the investigation into the

Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi, through a reaction, states that SPAK prosecutor Dritan Prençi must complete the investigation into the Tirana incinerator.

In his post, the MP writes that the same standard of investigation as the one for the "Balluku" case should be used for the affair of the century.

Këlliçi further adds that Tirana's non-existent incinerator has burned at least 180 million euros in citizens' taxes.

Full post:

I don't believe there is a politician or citizen who has publicly criticized Prosecutor Dritan Prenci more than I have. And this criticism has been neither impulsive nor personal, but based on a stubborn fact: the failure to investigate the Tirana incinerator affair to the end and the failure to bring to justice the two de facto owners of this monumental robbery, Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj.

But because time that passes without justice cripples the exhausted backs of Albanians, and remaining true to this principle, today I want to congratulate Prosecutor Prençi for his professionalism and real courage in bringing the mega "Balluku" affair to justice. Especially in a climate of extraordinary pressure from the Prime Minister himself, the government media, and criminal networks capable of doing everything to silence the truth.

The request to lift the immunity and allow the arrest of the Deputy Prime Minister, immediately after a scandalous decision by the Constitutional Court, is an act of institutional courage, in addition to a correct procedural act.

A standard that has been missing for years and that Albanian society has been persistently seeking, often feeling betrayed.

But today's respect does not erase tomorrow's obligation. Albanians expect the same standard of investigation, the same courage and the same independence for the affair of the century, the non-existent incinerator of Tirana. A phantom of concrete and contracts that have so far burned at least 180 million euros of our taxes.

Justice is not measured by isolated cases, but by coherence. And coherence is the true test of integrity. /CNA
