Rama: We are 83 MPs as of May 11, but we function as one

Prime Minister Edi Rama met this Monday afternoon with Socialist Party MPs following the results of the May 11 elections. In his speech from the meeting held at the Brigades Palace in the capital, Rama emphasized that the Socialist Party has 83 MPs as of May 11, but they will function as one.

Rama said that the SP was elected by the dreams and hopes of Albanians.

"Victory should not make us like that young man like the north, but let us think about the actions we will take. When a heavyweight faces a lightweight. We are 83, but we do not have 83 mandates, we have 1 mandate, everyone is needed like no one else, but is unnecessary like many others. We have encountered a historic moment in our journey. They elected us so that dreams and hopes can be made with hard work. So that their problems can be cried out even when they cannot be solved. And let those who, under our shadow, forget that a problem that is not solved, but only cried out, is a blow to the needy," said Rama./CNA
