Prime Minister Edi Rama made an unusual appearance today after the Council of Ministers meeting.

Speaking to reporters, Rama said that verification of the transaction for the purchase of land in Zvërnec is currently being considered.

According to Rama, the freezing of funds by the Special Prosecution Office is an important step at this stage.

The head of government added that the issue of the origin of the property will be conducted through an independent and professional investigation through SPAK and in both cases, the result will be indisputable from a legal point of view.

"This exit is related to a development that I consider very positive regarding the process of verifying the transaction for the purchase of land in Zvërnec. With the full and final clarification of the origin of the funds passed through the bank and the final release of the investors who are now also owners. I consider it positive that SPAK has decided to keep the funds frozen, without letting them pass to the sellers, for whom there is an investigative process. This is also positive for anyone who claims property in that territory. The issue of the origin of the property will be carried out through an independent and professional investigation through SPAK and in both cases, the result will be indisputable from a legal point of view.
