Integration/Vokshi: The government doesn't want us to know what the EU

Democratic Party MP Albana Vokshi, in a statement to the media, focused on the process of Albania's integration into the EU. V

Okshi said that the integration process is not the property of the majority and therefore cannot be managed privately.

The Democrat stated that the government does not want the opposition to know what the EU really wants from Albania.

 

" EU integration is not the property of the majority, it cannot be administered with the logic of secrecy. The law clearly defines the role of the Assembly and the opposition. Yesterday, this obligation was denied to us, which constitutes an attempt to exclude the opposition from the integration process and destroy the parliamentary control mechanism."

Why this insistence on treating European integration as a closed process? The government does not want the opposition to know what the EU really wants from Albania. The government does not want to become the subject of public debate.

"This is why the doors of transparency are being closed, parliamentary control is being hindered ," said Vokshi.
