Draft Law 'On Fiscal Peace'/ Capri: It serves money laundering, EC

Opportunity Party MP Erald Kapri stated today that the draft law "On Fiscal Peace" is like a tailor-made law that serves businesses and money laundering.

In his speech in the Assembly, Kapri stated that the draft law is very controversial and called for its approval to be postponed.

Kapri said that an assessment of the draft law should first be requested from the European Commission, in order to then act according to the instructions.

"Last week we approved the draft law "On Fiscal Peace" without debate. Last time, the EC suggested that it not be approved. There was no opinion this time either. It is a very sensitive issue, also because of the new data that has come out of SPAK. It seems as if only businesses are benefiting and a custom-made law is being made, therefore I ask you to wait to postpone the approval of this law. We, the deputies of the Munësia Party, will request an assessment from the EC. My call is that this controversial draft law, which allows money laundering, should first receive an opinion from the EU, and then be approved," said Kapri./CNA
