Balluk/Balla's Suspension: A Disappointment from the Special Court

The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, in the statement made by the Presidency of the Assembly, also spoke about the Balluk case.

Balla said that in this case there is a breach by the Special Court, as it does not have such competence.

The socialist said that the decision to be given by the Constitutional Court on Balluk's suspension should be awaited, following the government's appeal.

Balla also praised SPAK, which he said has done an excellent job.  

 

" SPAK has done an excellent job. Regarding the case in question, the Prime Minister has been clear. There was a concession from the GJKKO to suspend a minister. In the Prime Minister's assessment, but I too... even after 21 years, I think that the court does not have such competence to suspend a minister, because the Constitution, according to Article 103. Point 3, has equated the minister with the deputy in terms of immunity. However, fortunately, the constitutional order has clearly defined that when you have a complaint, you take it to the Constitutional Court. Let's wait for the Constitutional Court ", said Balla.
