"The pulpits have scattered us"/ Keltis Kruja: The DP has problems

Former Democratic MP, Keltis Kruja, reacted today regarding the speech organized by the Democratic Party in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

Through a post on social media, Kruja states that there is nothing wrong with such organizations being held, but according to him, the essence is coherence.

Kruja emphasizes that the biggest problem at this moment is the DP's relationship with its own truths and its true relationship with the Democrats.

"Now, honestly, with these speeches you have completely confused us. I have nothing against anyone who will meet with the Democrats, even more so with the Democrats who want to listen to anyone who has theses to discuss the situation the DP is in. I myself participated and organized meetings in 2017, when we received the lowest result in the history of the elections, to discuss with the Democrats what was happening with the DP.

Back then, we were called traitors and sellouts by almost everyone because we opposed Luli. Then, a couple of elections later, Luli was the “sellout.” But that's not the point.

We must learn to be coherent. And we must learn that if we have truths to say, we should say them without any consideration. What is true is true, and is said regardless of the cost. This is one of the biggest problems that the DP has today: the relationship with its own truths, and the real relationship it should have with the democrats.

And this is why the pulpits no longer have any meaning. Because the Pulpit (the only and "true" one) stifled the energy it released, precisely the day it decided that political goals are more important than the emotions and political ideas that created them," Kruja writes. /CNA
