During the joint conference with Bajram Begajn, the president of Croatia, Zoran Milanovic, said that Albania has made progress in the integration process, but the European Union has not reflected.

He added that for Albania, nothing is happening for integration even though the reforms have been carried out. 

"I am a witness of the economic progress of Albania. The progress has not been accompanied by the appropriate reactions from the EU institutions. I want to say again what I said in 2012, when Berisha was prime minister, the circumstances were the same and the absurdity was the same. In 2012, Albania had been a member of NATO for 3 years. It was trying to become a member of the EU. For Albania, nothing was happening in the Integration process. It seems that we have a problem when a state is good at organized to be a member of NATO. Albania has its place in NATO, then at the same time advancing towards another alliance, which is more complex, Albania has not been able to take the first step. It seems that something it is disingenuous there. 11 years have passed since we moved from the country, but not much. This speaks volumes for the EU and its priority. The fact is that they are probably among the only ones calling to accept Kosovo," Milanovic said. /CNA
