Artan Hoxha spoke this evening about the trial of Fredi Beler, the elected mayor of Himara.

Hopxha said that the defense lawyers of Fredi Beleri and the elected mayor of Himara see the prolongation of the judicial process as a strategy.

He stated on Ylli Rakip's show that Beler's lawyers intervened in the process and caused a debate, causing the session to be postponed.

The journalist emphasized that they are taking advantage of the noise made in the Greek media and want to take advantage of the swearing-in permit.

"From May 12, when Beleri was arrested and until today, he has made every effort to have even one hour of leave, to have the opportunity and to exercise his right as the winner of the Himara elections, to take the oath, wherever possible and then agrees to stay in jail. Last week, on Thursday, the court process began. So far, all the attempts that Beler's lawyers have made, to get the permit, have not been able to get the permit. The process will to extend, because it is not a shortened trial. Beler's lawyers, I believe he himself, see it as a strategy to prolong the process.

In the process, Beler's lawyers requested the floor, they did not let the prosecution read the request for trial, or the story with which they brought him to the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime, but immediately intervened and requested, first, the invalidity of the acts he did the prosecution, since the arrest and the way the evidence was taken, and secondly, to exclude a judge from the trial, because according to them, the judge made a decision against them in the previous stages of the assessment of security measures.

Under these conditions, the session was interrupted and will continue tomorrow, we will see again the Greek media, the Greek ambassador and journalists, as far as I could see, they were good, not ordinary, so they gave it a lot of importance. Tomorrow will be the second session, but as far as I have seen, Beler's lawyers have not given up their attempts to get even a short leave, so that he can take the oath.

So far, the opportunity to thwart Bellerin is what has happened. Beleri can voluntarily give up his mandate or if he is sentenced by a final decision. However, he cannot take the oath if he has been banned. The form that has been followed is for Beler to remain in the maximum extent, that is, prison arrest, he was not approved for leave even though he stayed in the prison hospitals for the first three months.
