The Minister of Education, Ogerta Manastirliu, called the opening of the European College in Tirana that Albania has taken a monumental step.

Manastirliu said that the arrival of the office of the College of Europe in Tirana shows the importance of the Western Balkans and is proof of Albania's commitment to the European ideal.

"Today they not only celebrate the establishment of a physical presence, but we reaffirm the joint commitment. The College of Europe has been instrumental in educating several generations of leaders, diplomats and researchers and for more than 7 decades has stood as a testimony to a lasting commitment to the European ideal.

It's not just knowledge transfer, but above all it's about cultivating a mindset that embraces change, innovation and collaboration. By establishing a presence here in Tirana, the College of Europe recognizes the importance of the Western Balkans in the wider European context", she said.

The minister declared that this initiative will empower the next generation of leaders, diplomats and researchers from the countries of the Western Balkans, from Europe and beyond to become catalysts of a positive change./ CNA
