The Secretary for Legal Affairs at the Democratic Party and elected MP, Ivi Kaso, said today that the Democratic Party does not have the luxury of abandoning any battle, referring to rumors of mandate burning.

In a television interview, Kaso states that it is important that a complete analysis be conducted within the party, not to punish certain members, but to evaluate the performance of the Presidency and leadership structures.

Kaso added that after the May 11 elections, the DP needs even more new names.

"My position is that the DP does not have the luxury of abandoning any battle trench. The DP and the opposition must take the mandates, despite the fact that in a Parliament that completely lacks legitimacy, emerging from a pair of elections that were completely unequal, it must wage its battle and advance it in these forums as well."
