Illegal construction between palaces/ Rama, in harsh tones towards the judge

Prime Minister Edi Rama has harshly criticized another judge, Judge Ligoraq, who, according to the Prime Minister, has ruled to the detriment of the community's interests regarding a building located between two buildings in which a shop is located where trade is conducted.

Rama has emphasized that he will not remain silent and will not stop to protect the public interest and the rights of the community, and the rights and freedoms of the people from abusers of office in the ranks of the Judiciary.

"Judge Ligoraq decided in a few minutes, without the presence of the parties, not to open the closed passage from this unauthorized building with a glass dome between two buildings, under which lies a shop where trade is carried out at the expense of the community.

Judge Ligoraq did not see fit to side with the community trapped by this illegal construction and probably did not even consider that, God forbid, in the event of a fire, this store would turn into a murderous barricade, insurmountable for both residents and firefighters.

Judge Ligoraq thus joins Prosecutor Gjeli, Judges Balliu and Demiri, in the file that the Ministry of Justice will forward to the bodies of control and self-government of the judiciary, while we will request that the complaints to these bodies be joined by citizens harmed by these absurd security measures, to the detriment of the community, the environment and the legal order.

Post Scriptum. To those who comment or make public statements about my alleged pressure on the judiciary, I say that in order to protect the public interest, the rights of the community, and the rights and freedoms of people from abusers of office in the ranks of the judiciary, we will neither remain silent nor stop addressing cases of abuse in the relevant bodies that the Constitution and the law also charge with protecting the interests of the people and the state, by incompetent, irresponsible prosecutors and judges, both together or even worse, without a homeland at all.

"But no one should confuse our stance towards these individuals with our unwavering stance in support of justice and its institutions, in the fight against corruption, organized crime and people's freedoms and rights," Rama writes./ CNA
