Rama/Kaso's warnings: Usurpation of the attributes of power, open threat

The Secretary for Legal Affairs at the Democratic Party, Ivi Kaso, reacted today after the warnings made today by Prime Minister Edi Rama regarding several judges and prosecutors.

Through a post on social media, Kaso states that Rama's statements are not a momentary aberration, but a usurpation of the attributes of power.

Kaso adds that Rama's positions constitute an open threat.

"Today's warning by Edi Rama to judges and prosecutors is neither a momentary aberration nor the product of some dystopian vision of the Constitution.

It is not even a consequence of ignorance, when it pretends to forget that justice is the state itself and not a tool of its corrupt executive, which has usurped the attributes of any power.

This is an open threat: only judges and prosecutors who conform to his political objective, “Albania 2030,” will be declared “state officials.” The rest will be stigmatized and attacked, as we have seen in recent weeks, in the style of a majority that tries to cover up daily scandals with the rhetoric of justice.
