"Mountain Package"/ Rama: It is moving at an extremely slow pace

Prime Minister Edi Rama was present at the presentation of the "Mountain Package." During his speech, Rama said that this package is currently facing several problems, as it is moving at an extremely slow pace.

This, Rama said, contradicts what is at the heart of the "Mountain Package", which should be speedy in providing answers to applicants. The Prime Minister stated that he has instructed several MPs to make the necessary amendments to relieve the law of unnecessary burdens.

Rama further said that for those people who have their own land but do not have access papers, it has been made easier, but there is a complication regarding the approval of all border guards, as sometimes they do not agree or in other cases they are not available.

For this, Rama said, the "Mountain Package" was created, which landowners apply to the municipality to build farms or agrotourism.

"The fact that on the first day that the online communication channel regarding this package was opened, there were 800 expressions of interest from the vast majority of Albanians outside Albania, speaks for itself about the power of the package. On the other hand, we are holding this meeting because we are concerned that it is moving at an extremely low pace in relation to what the package essentially has, the speed in terms of bureaucracy and in providing a response to those who express interest. This is completely the opposite of the spirit in which the package was conceived and approved. I admit that the package itself has some excessive burdens from a bureaucratic point of view and why it is very facilitated, access to a property that is de facto owned, but not on paper. For this reason, I have also told some deputies to make the relevant amendments to the law and quickly relieve the law of any burden. But the burdens of the law have nothing to do with your delay.

If you are expecting a response from the ASHK about the identified areas, you have not understood the law, the package, anything.

"There is an inevitable complication in obtaining all the approvals of all the border guards of the respective property. Which in many cases appears that the border guards may be in different countries of the world, they may not be found as soon as they do not want to. For these reasons, we created the package, which gives the opportunity to the person who has the land to come to the municipality and say I want to build an agrotourism, a farm here ," Rama said.
