Protests in the country/ Berisha: Let's do everything to successfully finalize its mission

Former deputy leader and former MP of the Democratic Party, Edmond Spaho, has articulated strong criticism of the opposition leadership, describing the DP as a political force that has lost the trust of citizens and the ability to represent their interests.
According to Spaho, the Democratic Party maintained an ambiguous stance in relation to the protests, initially supporting the investment and then, when it realized that it was being left out of political developments, it sided with the protesters.
During an interview, Spaho emphasized that the DP's biggest problem is that it no longer manages to touch the "citizen's nerve," as according to him it has become unreliable for the public.
Spaho then accused the Democratic Party and its leader Sali Berisha of indirectly contributing to Prime Minister Edi Rama's stay in power due to its weakness.
"The DP is divided, initially it supported the investment, then when it saw that it would remain on the periphery of the country's political developments it was forced to side with the protest. Today, here is the result, the protests are like Berisha's speeches. The opposition is in an existential crisis. The DP has a very big problem, it can no longer touch the citizen's nerves, it has become unbelievable for the citizen. From the 'Reestablishment' until today, it has not kept anything of what it has said. People are no longer naive. If there is a contributor that keeps Rama in power today, it is the DP, because it is helpless. Either we or the leader of the DP should leave", said Spaho./ CNA
