The Vice President of the Democratic Party, Luciano Boçi, declared today that the opposition protest is not a political spectacle, but a resistance driven by civic conscience against Prime Minister Edi Rama.

In his speech at the opposition protest, Boçi accused Rama of turning the country into private property and the property of criminal gangs.

"Today we have not gathered for a political spectacle nor to satiate ourselves with impressive speeches. We have not gathered today to look at each other with hatred from the curtains of the windows of fear, power nor to spread hatred for the worms that are gnawing at wealth. We are here because the adoration for our nation and dignity has called us. The opposition spirit and resistance, civic conscience and thirst for truth have called us. Our Albania can no longer tolerate being led by a man who has turned the country into private property and organized crime gangs. He has broken the government into a party club and mocks the fate of Albanians every day. The fear of power is stuck there and we must tear it down, as a duty before history, the country and the citizens of Albanians", - said Boçi. /CNA
