On Tuesday, the Council for Regulation, Mandates and Immunity approved only with majority votes the request of the SP for the amendment of the regulation of the Assembly, which foresees the expulsion for up to two months of the deputies who violate it.

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha reacted to this decision a little while ago.

In a statement to the media, after the meeting with the parliamentary group, Berisha strongly opposed this decision of the socialists.

According to him, this decision is the final stage of the annihilation of the opposition.

"A group of deputies allow themselves the temporary interruption of the mandate of the deputies, the exclusion for two months and the de facto removal of the mandate, i.e. the prohibition of the exercise of the mandate of the deputy. This is the final phase of the annihilation of the opposition and this will be accompanied by the entire effort of the opposition to establish pluralism in the Parliament.
