Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, at the meeting organized on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the Democratic Party, recalled the time of the formation of the Democratic Party and the change of the system.

He said they didn't know what the project they wanted was but they had inspiration and ideas.

The former prime minister showed that they appeared in the square as people who had not lived a day in freedom.

Berisha compared the burden of the current leaders of the Democratic Party with the one the Democrats had in founding this party.

"The current DP leaders have a burden as difficult as its founding leaders. I will tell you the truth here, when it was founded, except for the Albanians who had suffered and who were waiting to see the changes that happened in other countries, few could have thought that they would overthrow the dictatorship against which they rose. DP managed to prove itself as the party of impossible missions. It overthrew and archived the 46-year rule of the Labor Party. On the day we gathered in the square, apart from inspiration and ideals, we did not have the complete project of what we wanted, because we came out as people who had not lived a day in freedom.
