The head of the Albanian government, Edi Rama, has his "mind" on tourism. He has recently reacted to the tourism figures in the country, emphasizing that Albania has welcomed 9.54 million foreign visitors during 2023. 

"The 9.54 million foreign visitors we have received this year, 547 thousand foreign tourists who came to Albania during November, are proof that the country is being visited in every season of the year and in every corner of the territory, being confirmed as a superdestination of year-round tourism and stable", says Rama in a post on social networks.

Apparently, the prime minister seeks to draw attention from important issues, such as the investigation into the Tirana incinerator, by making various posts on social networks.

From Friday at dinner, (where the 15 arrest warrants for the incinerators were published) and until today, Rama has appeared several times in various activities, but has not made any comments about these investigations that have actually attracted the attention of everyone.

The head of the Municipality of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has done the same actions. Likewise Lulzim Basha. 

It is not known if there will be a statement from Rama about these investigations, but so far he wants the attention of public opinion to be directed to other topics and not to the affair, which is already under investigation by SPAK.

There were also messages from the Americans about SPAK's work on incinerators, or other corrupt government affairs, but Rama remained silent. He continues to talk about reforms or achievements of his government. 

How long will this silence continue? Or will we hear the prime minister's monotonous expression when officials are arrested, which is: "These are matters that belong to justice. I have faith in it." / CNA
