Prime Minister Edi Rama has not softened his tone with the internationals, towards whom he has maintained harsh attitudes during the last few days.

During his speech at the SP Congress, Rama criticized France, Germany and the Netherlands.

He stated that for several years, the integration of Albania in the EU was held hostage for several years by the political reasons of these 3 states.

"Albania was ready to open negotiations years ago. But the Council did not reach consensus because at that moment Germany-France and the Netherlands had political reasons not to join. I don't think that Sweden, Finland are less principled when it comes to assessing the dangerousness of a country they should vote for than Germany, France and the Netherlands. France has long had a different philosophy of EU integration. The Netherlands, a country has been a place of growth of anti-EU forces. Albania became a hostage to that dynamic, as soon as the elections in the Netherlands ended, they softened the position and the Dutch Prime Minister came to Tirana for the first time and confirmed the support for negotiations towards the EU", the head of the government emphasized./ CNA
