After the article published by CNA that Lulzim Basha has "closed" his mouth about the arrests for the Tirana incinerator, positioning himself in the same row as Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj, Luli has finally woken up. 

Although 1 day late from the CNA's letter and 3 days late from the issuance of arrest warrants by SPAK, Luli appears "concerned and worried" about the issue of corruption in Albania. 

And of course he "has" everything with Lali Er and the involved officials of the Municipality of Tirana, for whom he wants to be investigated and tried for the affair.  

Luli demands justice and expects this from judicial bodies. 

Full reaction: 

The Democratic Party of Albania appreciates the deepening of the investigations by SPAK, regarding the role of the Municipality of Tirana in the Incinerators scandal.

At the same time, public opinion expects the release of the legal responsibilities of the highest officials of the Municipality, such as the Mayor and the General Administrator for the following reasons:

1) The Mayor of Tirana has personally committed in writing through the annexes of the agreement with the Ministry of Environment, that he takes full responsibility for the financial obligations according to the contract for the Sharra Landfill, for a service that was never offered;

2) The Mayor of Tirana represents the highest legal authority in relations with third parties, specifically the company that did not offer even one day of waste burning;

3) Urban Waste Management is the exclusive competence of local government units, specifically Tirana Municipality;

4) The General Administrator is the person responsible according to the law on the State Budget for the income and expenses of the institution.
As above, we encourage SPAK and GJKKO to continue and deepen the investigations not only for Tirana Municipality, but all the municipalities that have executed this robbery of Albanians' tax money.

The Democratic Party reiterates the efforts of justice institutions for impartial investigation and trial and equality before the law for every official and citizen of the Republic of Albania./ CNA
