Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha was asked again by journalists regarding the request of the Special Prosecutor's Office to the Assembly for the removal of the immunity of Berisha's deputy.

After the meeting with the opposition Parliamentary Group, Berisha said that, like him, all MPs consider the previous SPAK decision unconstitutional.

But the chief democrat emphasized that he will respect the Parliament's decision, whatever it may be.

"They are all in unison that this decision is based on a previous anti-constitutional, anti-legal decision of the SKAP and the judge dismissed by Sali Berisha on February 8, 1996. Having said that, as I pointed out two hours ago at the conference press, in 2012 I personally engaged in an initiative together with the majority of the time for the article of the constitution, which gives immunity to the actions of the judiciary. In this context, the decision of the Parliament will be respected by me. Constitutionality requires Parliament to change the law and decide that there will be no protection for MPs, but whatever the Parliament's decision is, I respect it", underlined the former prime minister./ CNA
