On Tuesday, MP Monika Kryemadhi, signed the additional "live" report addressed to SPAK for Tirana's incinerator, as according to her, the Municipality of Tirana has allowed an unauthorized construction on 15 hectares of land.

Kryemadhi denounced that 15 hectares is the map of deposits outside the territory of the landfill, so the incinerator has received so many payments from construction companies that only with the deposits outside the border they have filled an area with 15 hectares of land.

The Freedom Party also published a video showing how the area around Tirana's landfill was covered by mountains of trash.

During her speech, Kryemadhi accused the head of Tirana Municipality, Erion Veliaj, of having forced the construction companies to pay the incinerator 60 million euros for the soils, but they were deposited outside the incinerator.

"After the signing of the Tirana incinerator contract, Tirana Municipality took actions to force all the builders in Tirana to take the soil produced by the construction to the Tirana incinerator, against payment. This was denounced and by the chairman of the association of builders, in the parliamentary investigative commission. The investigations carried out by Kryemadhi about the incinerator of Tirana, highlight how the incinerator of Tirana has benefited 60 million Euros from the construction firms for depositing soils, while the soils are thrown out of the Landfill, without the construction permit. For Kryemadhi, this constitutes two scandalous facts: 1. The municipality of Tirana has influenced through a criminal scheme, that private businesses connected to the municipality, as construction firms are connected from the first moment of receipt of permission until the completion of the works with the Municipality of Tirana, to send money to the bank account of the incinerator. Then this money, if followed, may result that it was given by the incinerator on behalf of the directors of the municipality or government officials.
2. The incinerator of Tirana has received the payments, while the soils have been deposited outside the construction permit. The role of the concessionaire has been the benefit of the payments and not actually the deposit of the lands. The state-of-the-art drone used by Kryemadhi, together with the calculations of the engineering staff next to her, show Hortofoto with clear coordinates," said Kryemadhi./CNA
