Deputy Erion Braçe has reacted strongly against the attacks of the chairman of PL, Ilir Meta, against the leader of SPAK, Altin Dumani.

During his speech in the Assembly, Braçe said that delegitimization through defamation was born in the Italian mafia "Cosa Nostra" and later entered the politics of the mafia.

He declared that the same thing is happening in Albania with the attacks being made on Altin Duman and the new justice system.

The MP emphasized that it cannot be tolerated that politicians give themselves power over the Constitution by attacking justice institutions.

"Since September, there has been a lot of tension between politics and justice. Even to the new justice. I understand the tension. The justice reform had this goal, the politicians in their role and the justice bodies in their constitutional role. Prosecutors bring charges, politicians have nothing more than citizens in this ascetic. This power cannot be used against the institutions of justice. Why is there so much milk? Why should we go to lynching, as in recent days lynching has disappeared into the ether. It has gone so far that it has caused a deep shock in public opinion.

Why should politics use its power to lynch prosecutors and judges. Why did you want us MPs to disobey the Constitution, but aim for the delegitimization of prosecutors? Delegitimization through defamation was born in the mafia, Cosa Nostra. From Cosa Nostra and then went to mafia politics, then to malignant states. It is happening here, it is also happening in Albania. We cannot tolerate politicians giving themselves power over the Constitution by attacking other institutions. I find in this hall people who have supported the justice reform, some of them are not here at all, they have been expelled from the party. Everything that is happening demonstrates that we were not united in our goals for this reform. Not only have we not been together, but the hatred towards those new justice institutions is at its peak. We must all take a step back and accept our role, we have nothing more than citizens and in relation to the constitution, everyone must be equal before the law", underlined Braçe./ CNA
