DP MP Flutura Açka has addressed a letter to the Speaker of the Assembly Lindita Nikolla, in the capacity of Chairperson of the Education Committee.

The letter is about the end of the mandate of Skënder Gjinushi as president of the Academy of Sciences.

Açka writes that despite the end of the respective work sessions of the Commissions, which have submitted all the decisions for tomorrow's Parliament session, MPs Petro Koçi and Ismet Beqiraj are preparing a parliamentary coup, calling a meeting out of order of the KPEMIP , to pass the draft law, which extends the mandate of Skënder Gjinushi at the head of the Academy of Sciences.

The deputy asks Nikola on behalf of the Education Committee to be informed about the filing of any request in the protocol of the Assembly for the meeting of KPEMIP by the two deputies.

Today, exactly on the day of the end of Skëmder Gjinushi's term as the President of the Academy of Sciences of RSH, when all the parliamentary commissions have closed their work session and submitted (according to the regulation of the Parliament 48 hours before) all the decisions for tomorrow's Parliament session, two members of the Parliamentary Committee for Education and Public Information Media (KPEMIP), MPs Petro Koçi and Ismet Beqiraj, are preparing a parliamentary coup, calling a meeting out of order of the KPEMIP, to pass in the vote their infamous draft law, which extends the life of the Skënder Gjinushi Academy of Sciences.

With typical illegal forms, with an unjustified haste, in complete contradiction to the Rules of Parliament, putting open pressure on the colleagues of the majority, members of KPEMIP, openly forcing the staff of the committee and the staff of the Assembly that supervises the work of the committees to violate the Regulation, in an open attack on free elections in the Academy of Sciences of RSH and against the wishes of the AS Assembly, in open insult to the autonomy that the law gives to this institution, these two colleagues are trying to call it carried out their mission started months ago in personal service to Skënder Gjinushi.

In all aspects of the consideration of the draft law brought to the Assembly by colleagues Koçi and Beqiraj, there have been violations, legal inconsistencies, manipulations of documentation from ASH and nonsense that require their own time for a quality product. The rush has only one goal, just as the law has only one name: to save the fugitive president of ASH, even though to do so the law is openly violated in the face of the Albanians.

As the head of this committee, I inform the President of the Assembly that until now I have not been informed about the filing of any request in the protocol of the Assembly for a meeting of the KPEMIP by the two deputies. Only after receiving the request, as the leader, I have the obligation to examine it and set the date and time of the meeting, according to the Regulation.
