Security measure against Balluk/DP, request: Rama to resign

Democratic Party MP Klevis Balliu has issued a statement to the media from the Blue House following reports that the GJKKO has imposed security measures for Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.

Balliu states that without the fall of Prime Minister Edi Rama, nothing will change. He further adds that the current demand of the DP is the resignation of Rama, whom he refers to as the "head of the drug system."

By using justice to get rid of Belinda Balluku, Edi Rama proved once again that a cowardly man does not become brave, even when he is at the top of the power pyramid.

He treated his deputy, behind whose back he had 'eaten pears', as collateral damage, as an evil that he had to get rid of as soon as possible, for fear that she was taking him with her and needed to be removed, not from him, but from anyone else, with one sole purpose, saving his chair, power, and head.

To their shame, the Rama-Balluku duo showed that they do not recognize the institution of resignation.

With this unprecedented act of removal from office, that is, of throwing away the government's number 2 like a rag by court decision, as if she were a warehouse worker, and not of dismissing her by proposal of the Prime Minister and decree of the President, as she has been appointed, Edi Rama proved that, in panic and terror, he is capable of doing anything to escape the law and justice.

Edi Rama chose to respond to Belinda Balluku's threat, 'if I fall, I'll take you with me', not by dismissing her or demanding her resignation, as his duty, principle, and political responsibility required, but by ambushing her behind her back.

Today, both are humiliated, like Rama and Balluku, because they are at the center of a labyrinth of crime and corruption, a vicious circle where heads are cut off - but the evil system remains.

The Democratic Party is clear and emphasizes what it has always said: Edi Rama is the head of the drug system and without his downfall, nothing will change.

There is no other alternative than the resignation of Edi Rama. This is our demand and the condition of the times.

This makes the mission of the Civic-Parliamentary Forum even more vital, this makes the opposition movement a demand of the time, this makes the overthrow of the narco-government a national necessity. / CNA
