Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, inspected the works at the construction site of the new road axis, Elbasan-Rrogozhinë, lot 5. "We are at one of the construction sites that is progressing better on the 8th corridor. Especially in this part that starts from the Bradashesh roundabout where we will also solve the traffic problem and then to Lekaj. We are at the Grykshit Bridge. The entire project has 6 large bridges. The progress of this construction site is at 60%, compared to the other phases here is the best progress. In June 2026 we want to complete the first 18 km of this very important segment. The design speed in this segment is 140 km per hour, while the implementation speed is 130 km per hour.

We have two lanes on each side, 3.75 meters wide, and one plus lane on each side, which is the emergency lane, 3 meters wide. So, we have three lanes on both sides, giving us an A-type highway, which will have a speed of 130 kilometers per hour.

It should be said that during the implementation of the projects, there are also changes that are confirmed and approved by the Technical Council of the ARA, and each one has to do with the arrangement of mobility in the residential areas on both sides of the highway.

330 meters of the bridge are being built on the Shkumbin riverbed and there are no technical problems. Our goal is to complete the first 3 kilometers by July 1, 2026, before the start of the summer season. ", said Minister Balluku.

CNA has repeatedly denounced the kilometer-long traffic queues created near the Bradashesh roundabout on the national axis Tirana-Elbasan.
