Lapaj admits mistake: If I could turn back time, I wouldn't put family

The time that the leader of the "Albania Becomes" Movement, Adriatik Lapaj, has spent in front of the Prime Minister's Office premises must have helped him to reflect broadly.

If we were to go back, we would not use it to include family members on the lists. The opponent exaggerated it for the worse. We did not do it alone, but others did it as well. Real politika carried it out a little differently. For every citizen who felt bad, I apologize. It was only a good intention. An intention to burn the closed lists to give the model of the competition to the open lists. It exposed the wrong electoral system. With 64 thousand votes we got 1 mandate, the PS with 64 thousand mandates got 9 mandates. If we were to go back, we would avoid it. The director of the evil was Edi Rama. I am very proud that time proved us right. We were not tempted to be part of Edi Rama's government. For what he did, the ugliness of the election of the Ombudsman was rewarded, testified. We received a total of over 80 thousand votes in the elections, 64 thousand valid. And I think at the first moment there was a damage. But as the events unfolded and the bargaining for the ombudsman, today the citizens feel that we stood our ground. It is not easy to say no to this offer that was made to us.
