The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, delivered his speech at the meeting taking place today. During his speech, Balla also made an appeal to the opposition regarding the Special Commissions for Electoral Reform and Territorial Reform.

He stated that if the opposition does not return to the committees, the direction and quorum for the continuation of the work of the committees will be changed.

"I want to make it clear that we have agreed to the formula of co-chairing the committees for Electoral Reform and Territorial Reform, but in no case have we agreed to do nothing. Whoever will not work, we need to unblock the committee leadership or the quorum to continue the work. We are ready to listen to them, but we will not be willing to wait for them to work together so that these two reforms move forward. From Monday, January 19 to the last Thursday of July 2026, the adoption of the organic law on the functioning of the Assembly must have begun and been completed. In the last session, an effective change of the permanent parliamentary committees was achieved ," Balla said. /CNA
