Prime Minister Edi Rama was present at the public hearing on the budget held with the residents of Unit 5 in Tirana.

In his speech, Rama focused on pensions, saying that it is not true that they will only increase in January. The Prime Minister also announced that pensions will be indexed.

Rama said that an extra 1.7 billion euros will be spent on increasing and indexing pensions.

Regarding an opportunity for more growth, Rama called it a "romuse" that comes from the despair of those who have lost themselves deeper and deeper.

 

" A significant portion of those we have taken on are there with the corresponding financial support. Pensioners have heard from me for a long time how difficult it is to increase their pensions. On the other hand, there is also the request that has the greatest weight in the budget. Some say "yes, you are increasing your salaries for yourself". If you were to take all the salaries of the deputies and send the deputies home, the amount that comes out is a drop in the ocean compared to the amount that will be paid to the pensioners.

Pensioners will receive the bonus that was received and promised to them. What you will receive in January 2026 will be doubled in January 2027. Some crooks come out and say Rama said that pensions will only increase in January. Pensions will be indexed. A considerable amount will be spent year after year for indexation alone. An extra 1.7 billion euros will be spent for indexation and pension increases.
