9 directors of the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, have been arrested by SPAK and several others are expected to be arrested for the incinerator affair, the "5D" file and corruption in the Municipality of Tirana.

These arrests were also mentioned by the president of PL, Ilir Meta, two nights ago in the "Opinion" show, who, despite his "war" with SPAK, demanded the arrest of Erion Veliaj.

While attacking SPAK, the head of PL declared that Veliaj is saving his head by handing over the thieving directors.

Further, Meta listed some facts about why Erion Veliaj should be put in handcuffs and give an account before justice.

First, Veliaj signed for all municipalities of Tirana district for the incinerator , usurping the powers of other municipalities.

Secondly, Veliaj signed the financial commitment for tens of millions of euros on behalf of the Municipality of Tirana , although such competence belonged to the Municipal Council.

Thirdly, Veliaj has put Tirana in debt for the non-existent incinerator , not only with the garbage that is paid for at 29 euros/ton, but also with the soil.

Thirdly, Veliaj has been denounced by former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj as the de facto owner of the Tirana incinerator.

Fourth, Veliaj has given 60 million dollars for the Tirana incinerator.

These facts were listed by Meta, who asked to know where the money went, while quoting Ahmetaj, stressing that the affair at the incinerator will anger the Albanian people.

In fact, these are just some of the facts denounced, while the question arises as to why SPAK does not arrest Erion Veliaj, the mayor who was caught by the thieving directors and who is under investigation for 5 cases./ CNA
