Former Foreign Minister Besnik Mustafaj has commented on the appointment of Blendi Gonxhe as Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation.

During an interview, Mustafaj emphasized that the union of innovation and culture are two different branches and it is difficult to get the same attention from a minister who also has the economy in hand.

Mustafaj said that Prime Minister Edi Rama conceives governance as a style.

Further, Mustafaj underlined that Gonxhe will have problems with the Economy as he does not have the proper education and experience to manage it.

"Culture is one of the essential elements of our identity and representation in the world. The union of innovation and culture are two different branches and it is difficult to get the same attention from a minister who also has the economy in hand.

This is a government reshuffle, as it creates a new ministry and merges two others. If this recomposition will be logical in accordance with the needs of the country, we will see it in the following months. Our Prime Minister conceives governance as a style. It is not a style of governance, it is a method. Style and method are two different terms.

I'm not prejudiced by nature and I don't want to prejudice Gonxha. The economy will be his problem, since he does not have the proper education and experience, but if he is surrounded by informed people, he can succeed", said the former minister./ CNA
