The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy and at the same time the Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku has given details about the project for the Tirana-Durrës highway. 

In a media conference, while doing the annual analysis of the Ministry of Infrastructure, she said that the Tirana-Durra axis will have three lanes on each side and that there will also be an emergency lane.

According to her, in the next 5 years, this entire network will be integrated. 

"There will be a full lane on each side as well as the emergency lane, there will be no massive expropriations, but it is predicted that there will be an expansion, it will return with three full lanes. Tirana-Durres is much more important. In the next 5 years, this entire network will be integrated with each other, as the construction of Kashar-Lekaj will also start this year. We are in the final stage with the coordinators. The Tirana Bypass will be the regulator and connector for many roads. All the projections for the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Infrastructure have changed a lot and change by the year and not just by 5 years or decades. An important component of transport will also be joined by the railway network", said Balluku. 

As for the railway with Pristina, she said that with the completion of the feasibility study, we will be ready to open the competition to start this great long-awaited dream. 

"We have just received the good news about the continuation of the axis with Durrës-Rrogozhin. All these create an important package for railway transport, the moment has come to have alternations, giving us the possibility of a modern transport. An important project is also the one that will connect Durrës with Pristina, a very important railway project that is supported by governments and will connect Albanians. With the completion of the feasibility study, we will be ready to open the competition to start this big dream long-awaited", said Balluku./ CNA
