The member of the DP National Council, Mirela Karabina, describes Lulzim Basha as the leader who should once again take over the leadership of the DP. In an interview for Report TV, Karabina said that Basha will lead PD to the end.

I think that Basha has the political potential to take the DP's journey to the end. The theses that Basha articulates are to be made a reality. I believe that on July 29 he will be reconfirmed as the chairman of the DP because he is the potential that the DP needs and he has a mission to make the DP the governing alternative", said Karabina.

On the other hand, Karabina does not support the union with Sali Berisha arguing that PD does not need such an alliance. She continues to say that the future of the opposition comes if everyone separates from Sali Berisha.

"PD might not have split, but we already have different philosophies. It is important that DP make an alliance with what Basha has articulated, with the citizens. Anyone who believes in this philosophy starts a voluntary union. Important is the platform of the team that DP will present to the citizens that the change vote is theirs and not the members'. We don't have to wait for the membership to make the difference. We can no longer talk about unity because we share different philosophies," Karabina said
