The head of the Agrarian Party, Agron Duka, has justified his abstention in the Assembly, regarding the approval of SPAK's request for the removal of the immunity of Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj.
The duke has said that he has abstained, as he is still unclear about the procedures, while he added that abstention is not against.
Among other things, the deputy emphasized that anyone who embezzled public money should be punished.
"I abstained because I am unclear. According to me, ministers are blamed for procedures, then they should not be considered politicians but technicians, which is impossible.
On the other hand, if Ahmetaj or anyone else, has embezzled public money, of course he should be punished. It seems to me that a judgment is taking the form of a procedure, and this, in my opinion, is a mistake. Finally, abstinence is not against", declared Duka./ CNA.al
