"Martyrs, a memory of the price of freedom"/ Peleshi: LANÇ wrote one of the most important chapters

On the 81st anniversary of the country's Liberation, the Speaker of Parliament, Niko Peleshi, paid homage at the Cemetery of the Nation's Martyrs, where he honored the memory of the fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Albania.

 " Today we honor the liberators of the homeland, who, with heroism and bravery, paved the way for the freedom of Albania. The sacrifices of the Albanian people and the blood of the martyrs of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War wrote one of the most important chapters of our history ," Peleshi said in his message.

Peleshi added that the legacy of the fallen remains a moral compass for today's generations.

"Their legacy continues to be a point of reference for generations, a reminder of the price of achieving freedom, and a lesson in our responsibility to protect it," declared the Speaker of Parliament.

The ceremony took place in the presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama and President Bajram Begaj, veterans and descendants, families of martyrs and citizens./ CNA
